A Rosado Family Update
Topics: GeneralI would like to update everyone on what has been going on with the Rosado family.
Lisa and Will have moved away from Tampa, not far though, but closer to my husband and I. Lisa and Will are having a rough time coping with their loss as we all are and as everyone can imagine.
The month of May has been especially difficult as May 4th was one month since the fire and since Gavin passed away. Then May 9th was one month since Sebastian passed away and the 11th would have been his second birthday. Then of course Sunday was Mother's Day, so I don't have to explain how hard that was for Lisa. This will be hard for all of us for a very long time and I want to urge everyone who lives in, or has family who lives in a mobile home to be very aware of their safety.
Make sure that you have as many working smoke detectors as possible, have a plan in case of a fire. And if you live in a mobile home park, make sure that the park has competent maintenance personnel on staff. The park owners should be held responsible for any unsafe living conditions, if they are not going to be diligent with maintenance, then the tenants should make them be in whatever way is necessary for the safety of themselves and their children. We do not want to see another family go through what we have been going through.
And I wanted to let everyone know that your pets are precious to you as well, as we found out with Lisa and Will. Their dog, Roscoe also perished in the fire, but not before he woke Lisa and Will up that night and alerted them about the fire. He is the reason that they were able to get out in time. After they moved, a friend gave them another dog and they named her Angel. The name is special to Lisa and Will because after the loss of Gavin and Sebastian friends and relatives gave them many statues and figurines of angels, so when the new dog came along, it seemed appropriate to name her Angel.
We want to thank everyone who cared enough to be there for all of us, and we all want to say THANK YOU to everyone who made donations to Lisa and Will. You have no idea how much that has helped them in getting back on their feet. They are overwhelmed with gratitude and will be sending personal thank you's to most, and because some donations were made anonymously, they want to thank those kind people as well. They still need everyone's prayers, so please keep them in your thoughts.
